You must tap "I Understand & Agree" before you can use scanning or chat features. You can also tap "Maybe Later" and consent later when you first try to scan or chat.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Camera and Photo Data

• Product Images: When you scan a product, we capture images using your device camera
• Purpose: Images are analyzed by AI to identify products and calculate carbon footprints
• Processing: Images are sent to our AI service provider via encrypted HTTPS connection
• Storage: Images are stored locally on your device for scan history
• External Processing: Images are sent to external AI servers for analysis, then immediately discarded — they are NOT stored on external servers

We use the following third-party AI services. Your data is only sent after you give explicit consent in the app:

• Scan History: Product scans and carbon calculations are stored locally on your device
• Chat History: Conversations with Eco Expert are stored locally on your device
• Daily Tips: Presented from pre-written content, no network needed
• Analytics: We do NOT collect any usage analytics or tracking data

1.5 Payments and Subscriptions

• Processing: All payments are processed securely by Apple via the App Store
• Financial Data: We do NOT see, collect, or store your credit card or payment information
• Transaction History: We store only the status of your subscription (e.g., "Active", "Expired") locally on your device
