0. Your Consent Is Required
Before using any AI-powered features (AI cleanup, tone rewriting, or translation), the app will display a consent screen that clearly explains:
- What data is sent: Voice transcript text (for cleanup and tone rewriting) and note text (for translation)
- Who receives it: Cloudflare Worker (API gateway) and Google Gemini (AI processing)
- How it's used: To clean your transcript, apply writing tones, and translate between languages
- Data retention: Processed in real-time — not stored on external servers
You must tap "I Understand & Agree" before AI features will process your transcripts. You can also tap "Maybe Later" and consent later when you first try to enhance a recording.

- We access your microphone solely for voice recording
- Audio is processed locally via Apple Speech Recognition for transcription
- No audio is recorded without your action
2. How We Use Your Information
- Voice Transcription: Apple Speech Recognition converts your voice to text on-device — no data leaves your device
- AI Cleanup & Rewriting: The transcript text is sent to Cloudflare Worker (API gateway) and Google Gemini for cleaning, rewording, and tone application — only after you consent
- Translation: Note text is sent to the same AI services for translation — only after you consent
